Women of Worth (W.O.W.)

The W.O.W. ministry celebrates our womanhood and the wonderful things God has called us to do. It is the goal of the ministry to not only focus inwardly on ourselves, but to reach out and share the good news of Christ to others in our community and those that God has placed in our path. Our mission is to ENCOURAGE women to follow Christ daily. EDUCATE women in God's word. EMPOWER women to realize their God-given purpose. EQUIP women to maximaize their gifts, ideas, talents, and potential. ENGAGE women in community programs. 

We strive to be truthful and transparent about many of the issues we face as women. In Christ, we bind together and embrace each other and the challenges we face. We work together to allow God to break down our walls of guilt, shame, and regret that we often hide behind. In doing so, He will heal the broken places of our lives and restore us to a place of confidence and victory. We have a lot of fun fellowship on our journey together. 

Celebrate Recovery (CR)

Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered, biblically-based, recovery program designed to help you connect/reconnect with God and heal past hurt and pain. Our weekly meetings provide a safe, judgement free place to share your experiences and struggles, enjoy fellowship, gain encouragement, and develop lasting friendships. CR is not limited to only those who struggle with addictions or substance abuse. The steps and principles in the program can be applied to help with a multitude of struggles. If you suffer from hurts, unhealthy habits, or find yourself stuck in an endless cycle of hang-ups and would like to experience the amazing freedom only Jesus Christ can offer, please join us! Jesus will help you recover from hurts, habits, and hang-ups and uncover a beautiful life you never knew was possible. 

Amy Privett (Bridge Kids)

Amy has been teaching youth for approximately 28 years. She has enjoyed serving as youth leader, Sunday school teacher, treasurer, special occasions director, and teaching adult classes as well. She has done everything from cleaning toilets to creating church bulletins and newsletters. In a nutshell, Amy always tries to serve anywhere there is a need. 

Janet Lee Booher (W.O.W.)

Janet is the leader of the W.O.W. ministry. Her faith in Christ is at the core of who she is what she hopes to accomplish in her life. She has been a follower of Christ since early childhood and it is her hearts desire to honor Him. Over the years, she has held many positions in the local church, including Sunday school teacher, choir director, children's church director, worship leader, and women's ministry leader. She is married and has two adult daughters. She has an Associate of Science degree in Data Processing from Dyersburg State Community College and a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Leadership from Union University. Her life verse is Jeremiah 29:11: "I have good plans for you, not plans to hurt you. I will give you hope and a good future."

Lisa Curtis (CR)

Lisa is the leader of CR. She is excited that you are taking the time to check in to this amazing ministry, and truly hopes that you will give it a shot! Honestly, what do you stand to lose besides a plethora of negative baggage? She has personally worked the Celebrate Recovery Program and can testify to the freedom it helps achieve! With Jesus by her side and a willing heart she was able to break many binding chains, release past hurts, and begina journey of accepting God's love fully and loving herself. She looks forward to walking this journey with you, one step at a time!
